The Harmony Room Presents: Singer Songwriter Night! Featuring Isabelle Stillman & David Smalt

It’s Singer Songwriter Night @ The Harmony Room on Saturday, December 10 at 7PM. There will be two solo performances from artists Isabelle Stillman and David Smalt! Isabelle Stillman’s latest music can be described as abandoning the path of traditional genre, and instead, celebrating self-awareness and the strength in surrendering control to the unexpected turns of a life less planned, cracked open, and more beautiful for it. David Smalt’s music can be described as genre bending with sounds of dream pop, indie and electric.

Isabelle Stillman

Isabelle Stillman finds inspiration from balance, whether it is her dual life as an English teacher and touring musician, or her upbringing in Missouri to her present day in a crowded Los Angeles, she — a guitarist, songwriter and singer — has grown to find a harmony that resonates deeply within her music.

Isabelle Stillman’s newest release, Heartrender, comes from a place of vulnerability and awakening that can only be sparked through transition, pitfalls and personal upheaval. Abandoning the path of traditional genre and ignoring any guidelines, Heartrender is a celebration of self-awareness and the strength in surrendering control to the unexpected turns of a life less planned, cracked open, and more beautiful for it.

David Smalt

David Smalt is a Los Angeles based songwriter & musician. He learned guitar as a child to join the praise band in his father’s church alongside his drumming brother, Jonathan. Moving to Nashville, he played with several bands across different genres until he stepped out to craft & breathe life into his own songs.

“Mobius Band of Unrequited Love” is Smalt’s sophomore record. The album was recorded early in the pandemic in his brother’s home-turned-studio & "Mobius” has seen him hone his songwriting, sharpening early sounds to achieve a distillation of lilting melody with grit & sonic jubilance in darkness.
