 Milo Martin

Is a long time staple of the Poetry Community of Los Angeles. He goes back with many of the best of them. He studied creative writing and poetry at USC, and Univerzita Karlova in Prague, SF State and American Lit and Speech at SF State University. He has also studied Literature Speech and Theater Arts at Monterey Penninsula College.

 Bridgette Bianca

Bridgette Bianca is a poet and professor from South Central Los Angeles. Her first book of poetry, be/trouble, was released by Writ Large in 2020. When she is not reading her work, she hosts workshops and other events around the city. Recently, she joined forces with poet, artist, and activist GusTavo Guerra Vasquez to form the literary curating team South Central Spits Fire. Find her online at bridgettebianca.com

 Matt Sedillo

Matt Sedillo is our very own LA poet and a much feted internationally known poet, as well. He is the author of Mowing Leaves of Grass (FlowerSong Press, 2019) and City on the Second Floor (FlowerSong Press, 2022) as well as Terra Derubate, Vite Derubata (Ensemble Press, 2023). His poetry has been translated and published in Spanish, Italian, and Hungarian. Sedillo is the current literary director of The Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles.

He is the host of LA Raza on KPFK-FM radio.

Elena Secota

Elena Secota is an Actor/Poet/Photographer at Independent Artist. She studied Acting at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, London. Elena hosts the wonderful Rapp Saloon in Santa Monica every third Friday of the month since November, 2000. She loves to help us see the sea and a lot of other important and enjoyable things as well and she sings a bit too.

Lizbeth Coiman

Lizbeth Coiman is a bilingual writer, educator, cultural commentator, and rezandera from Venezuela writing about her homeland, immigration, mental health, and other Social Justice issues.

Jeff Boynton

Jess Boynton is involved in way more things than he has time for, but refuses to let common sense deter him: composing, cello, piano, video editing, motion graphics, and designing/creating electronic musical instruments. He was keyboardist for Wazmo Nariz, touring in support of The Police, Devo and XTC. He composed music for the Bolshoi Circus’ 1993 Japan tour. He was a member of Skyline Electric, with Devo drummer Alan Myers. He played cello and his own instruments in TriAngular Bent along with Zappa/Mothers of Invention keyboardist Don Preston. In recent years, he performs as a solo improvisor as well as with other musicians, and is a frequent collaborator with his wife, Mona Jean Cedar, as Circuitry & Poetry. He currently performs with Josie Roth and Mike Mollett as “Somewhere Somehow”.

Mike M. Mollett

Mike M. Mollett studied at Cal Poly Pomona and is a Visual & Performance artist at Artist Rose of Sharon. He is a publisher at Hard to Say in A Way That Might Be Heard w/Michael Lane Bruner and is the Leader and a Founding Member of the L.A. MUDPEOPLE. He is also a Former Founding member, performer/writer of the Carma Bums

Josie Roth

Josie Roth is a violist/vocalist, long active in the Los Angeles Art and Music scene. Her sound work is focused on improvisation and interacting with a variety of sound. Some of the sounds she has worked with are made by poets, actors, words, ambient and random sounds of life, and at times sounds that could be considered music. Tonight she will do what is necessary and called for as various sounds and situations present themselves. The rest is history….

Mona Jean Cedar

A native of Watertown, New York, Mona Jean attended California State University, Northridge where she did Deaf Studies/Theatre became a sign Language Interpreter at National Poetry Slam, a Language Interpreter at Freelance and is the former Sign Language Interpreter at hm157. Mona Jean creates her own poetry with sign language performances, often with dance, accompanied by her husband Jeff Boynton and friend Josie Roth.

The Harmony Room event space is mobility accessible: there are handrails on the staircase and a ramp for the entrance. The Harmony Room Upstairs event space has limited mobile accessibility: there is a ramp entrance to enter the building, there are handrails on the staircase to go upstairs to the event space, but currently, there is no ramp or elevator to access the upstairs space.
