Richard McDowell
Since riding high on my first award in the sixth grade, don't believe I've won anything. It has been a journey to get to a place where I can hear my own voice and impart it through and into this event. Thank you for the opportunity to present my work and I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
Jeff Rogers
Jeff Rogers is author of Right Wrong Night Song, World Stage Press 2022. He grew up in Michigan college towns; lived in Los Angeles for forty years and still loves it; and moved with wife Elise to the mountains above San Bernardino in 2023. Poetry’s as big as the world. There’s nothing it can’t carry. @lefthandedjeff | LefthandedJeff.com
Darrell Larson
DARRELL LARSON has been toiling in the fields the of language arts for 55 or more years, depending on whose counting—he has appeared on film, stage and television, such as Coyote in THE COYOTE CYCLE, Pete in MIKE’S MURDER, the Captain in DANCE OF DEATH, and Rip Van Winkle in RIP AWAKE! He has the temerity to write poetry and share it around, and has responsible for some uncategorizable events such as THE WIZARD OF OZ IN CONCERT at Lincoln Center, and a long running poetry series at the Chateau Marmont called THE ACT OF THE POET. And so on…
Mitch’s Kitchen
Mitch Greenhill has released 9 albums and 1 book. The Boston Globe hailed his "movement and drive and touch that anyone who has ever coped with a guitar cannot but envy." Kirkus Reviews (starred review) described Raised by Musical Mavericks as “a charming and informative must-read for music lovers.”
He has produced an array of recordings, including a Grammy-winner for Doc Watson, and has composed and designed music and sound for regional theater, where he has received several Drama-Logue awards, and on Broadway. Mitch has appeared on screen in "The Long Riders" and "Safe."
Mitch’s Kitchen, founded on the idea that one makes a tasty and meal from nutritious foods in the pantry, features Peter Spelman on bass and vocals and Roberta Levitow on vocals and percussion. After an extensive history as soloist and bandleader, Peter was a founding member (with Mitch) of String Madness, where his compositions fueled a decade of “string band music from Bach to Bebop.” Roberta, a modern-day Renaissance woman, has seen success as a widely produced theater director, a widely exhibited painter and a founding member of Theatre Without Borders. Mitch’s Kitchen cooks up a sweet and savory feast.
