Saturday, July 9 - The Harmony Room Welcomes music collective 'Potluck' to the Stage!

The Harmony Room is on for an exciting performance on July 9, 2022 at 7pm! Musical artists Chris Blondal, Larry Koonse, Vardan Ovsepian, and Sezin Ahmet Türkmenoğlu will be performing live as ‘Potluck’. Come out for an evening filled with dynamic jazz talent in a relaxed, carefree setting in beautiful Eagle Rock. The Potluck collective consists of Larry Koonse on guitar, Vardan Ovsepian on piano, Sezin Ahmet Türkmenoğlu on bass, and Chris Blondal on drums. 

Larry Koonse: Has been featured on over 300 albums, Larry has recorded guitar with Cleo Laine, Al Hirt, Jimmy Rowles, Bob Brookmeyer, Luciana Souza, Lee Konitz, Larry Goldings, Mel Torme, Alan Broadbent, Ray Brown, Bill Perkins, Toots Thielemanns, Rod Stewart, Seth MacFarlane, Linda Ronstadt, David Friesen, Bob Sheppard, Bob Mintzer, Peter Erskine, Warne Marsh, Charlie Haden, Natalie Cole and many other jazz artists. Vardan Ovsepian: is an Armenia-born pianist/composer whose studies include Yerevan State Conservatory, Estonian Music Academy, Helsinki Jazz Conservatory, and Berklee College of Music. Vardan has performed with artists such as Mick Goodrick, Tim Miller, Peter Erskine, Jerry Bergonzi, David Binney, Tatiana Parra and VOCE - Vardan Ovsepian Chamber Ensemble. https://www.vardanovsepian.com/home

Sezin Ahmet Türkmenoğlu: Now living in Los Angeles but originally from Turkey, Ahmet has earned a PHD in music from USC. He has played Bass with musicians like Alan Pasqua, Peter Erskine, Russell Ferrante, Otmaro Ruiz, Bob Mintzer, Ndugu Chancler, Patrice Rushen and Bruce Forman. Alan Pasqua was a great mentor to Ahmet and he had the opportunity to play with him at popular LA venues like LACMA, Blue Whale and Vitello. In addition, he has been performing and recording with artists from Grammy-nominated composer, arranger and pianist Otmaro Ruiz to Jimmy Branly, Larry Koonse, Katisse Buckingam, Alex Acuna and countless others. https://www.sezinahmet.com/

Chris Blondal: Originally from Vancouver Chris is an active member of the Los Angeles music community working in many different genres. He has performed, recorded and toured with a wide variety of artists, such as: The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Pete Christlieb, Chris Standring, Brad Rabuchin, Bob Sheppard, Cathy Segal-Garcia’s nonet, Katisse Buckingham, film composer/trumpeter Mark Isham, The Soul of John Black, David Garfield, Ann King, (film composer) Bobby Johnson, (film composer) Rolf Kent, 15 years with Rhapsody in Tap, Joe Rotondi, Tamir Hendleman, Chuck Manning, Justo Almario, Lee Secard. Chris also played with 50’s rock and roll legends Bo Diddley, the Diamonds and the Coasters. As a studio artist, he has recorded on a variety soundtracks for major motion pictures, including: Fight Club, Nurse Betty, Gun Shy, The Slums of Beverly Hills, Wild Wild West, and appeared recently in the opening credits for Monday Night Football with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Hank Williams Jr., Peter Cetera, and Bootsy Collins. https://www.chrisblondal.com/
